DEDICATION IS A MUST TOOL

Dedication is a necessity in the process of learning. The more you practice the more you will groom yourself.practice is must and so is dedication.while practicing,be dedicated to what you are doing. It wont work if you are lookin up for youtube tutorials on one side with a can of coke in your hand.things like this wont work.be clear how the chords are played.pick up your guitar and start with your exercises.just keep this in mind when you are practicing ,there should be no other distraction.Ok temme, how many of you would like a friend of yours disturb you when you are with your bf/gf? ahan! i know you ll be wanting to smash their face.but keep calm buddy! make your guitar your love, place this love and affection above every relationship and trust me it will love you back too..the more you love it from heart, the more good you will be at it.dont be scared if your fingers are hurt while practicing.dont feel bad if some1 asks you -hey! what happend to your fingers? feel proud and treat them the way warriors treat their scars.

GET MOTIVATED

every 1 wants to get motivated at some point of life and same is the scenario when you are a beginner guitar player..try looking videos of great players so that your mind strikes -"woh man,can i do this too?" this question will certainly arise in your mind when you are a beginner and look at an expert playing tremendously good.well yes,you can do anything and everything dude! i was motivated regularly by a friend who played very well.and when i used to see him play,i kept seeing him as if ET landed planet earth, coz the sound of good music pleases you so much that your heart says keep it playing..your ears says, bring it on more of it!

so if you want to be good at it,try to find a person nearby you or a known who knows what actually is guitar playing.

GUITAR PARTS

For your general knowledge you must know the parts on an acoustic guitar. they are as follows

if you want to buy a guitar , buy an acoustic guitar first before jumping onto electric guitars just because of its too cool looks. you groom and learn on acoustic first and when you gain knowledge of what actually chords are you can jump onto electric guitar...

Switch Guitar Chords Faster

It's all about the finger GAME!

When you watch you're favorite guitarist play, it always look like their fingers are barely moving, right? That's because they are barely moving. Efficiency of movement is the important idea here. So, eliminate extra movement to be able to cover more space faster. Also, keep your fingers as close to the strings as you can.Besides good guitar playing is all about practice.
The more you practice, the more you can, the more you want to, the more you enjoy it, the less it tires you.― Robert A. Heinlein

Try shifting between any two chords. Play the first chord say five times (strumming evenly), and then, without breaking the rhythm of your strumming, quickly move to the next chord, and play that chord five times. Now while playing the first chord try and visualize exactly which chord you have to play next. Visualizing of chords helps you to set your fingers on the strings more smoothly and accurately.

BE A LEARNER

                                          BECOME A LEARNER

Ear training is ought to be the first and foremost task of any developing musician. Value your ears as they are the most important concept in learning to play guitar. You need to develop a good ear. A well trained ear is must when trying to play out a melody without sheet music or a metronome to help you with it. To start training your ear, try learning simple songs by ear and then learn the lyrics to the song. Try songs which have different chords doing so will help you  recognize chords and melodies when you hear them, and it will also help you improvise where necessary. Record and listen to what you play and improvise. You have to recognize what or which chord you are playing or listening. So, you must play by ear to be a great guitarist.

TIP OF THE DAY

                  Put yourself in the music.

It will sound more sensational and more emotional if you manage to put yourself into the music. This is not an easy concept to visualize, but when its done correctly it really improvises your music on another level. Don't just play the music. Put some power into it. swing in pleasure,  and sway with the rhythm. Make strange faces. Allow your music to be shaped by your experiences and the  ethics and culture you’ve been immersed in. imagine  someone special, oh yeah, this depends on the song. ;) :P All of this stuff sounds a bit cheesy, but you will be amazed when you start to rejoice the music inside your heart and the effect that has on the feel of your music. !!!

PRACTISE MAKES A MAN PERFECT!

Practice, practice, practice!!

The study of music is a lifelong process - it's a discipline. The key to mastering any discipline is consistency. First of all have confidence that you will reach all your goals in time. Design an effective and flexible practice schedule. Add variety in your practicing sessions and make them fun. There is no substitute for proper practice. With no practice, you will not get very far. Practice in small chunks. Spend a few minutes focusing on a particular chord. Then spend a few on something else. It's  better to practice everyday rather than an hour once a week. Don't let yourself get too distracted while practicing. Once you finish practicing, then you can doodle around for a while. Recording and listening to what  you  are  playing  will  help  you to  improve. Your brain will continue to wrap itself around the things you practice while you are into other stuff. You will find that you will get better with practicing things in sections. just keep practising  what you feel is  difficult and keep revising.

Getting started with the chords

The chords are differentiated as OPEN chords and the BARRED chords.

Our first hurdle is to cross the process of learning open chords.open chords are the chords which require no barring.(i.e the use of one finger to barre the whole slot of 6 strings). popular open chords are-

  • A major( denoted by A)
  • A minor( denoted by Am)
  • E major( denoted by E)
  • E minor( denoted by Em)
  • D major(denoted by D)
  • D minor(denoted by Dm)

String names

There are 6 strings in a Spanish acoustic guitar(from thickest to thinnest) :-

  • The  uppermost string is E string.
  • The second string is the A string.
  • The third string is the D string.
